Checklists of Student Skills
I want to know what my students think they can do. I want to know how confident at a subject they may or may not be. If I am able to recognize where my students stand in what they think of themselve, I will be able to further assess what is the truth or what is just myth within themselves. This is to differentiate learning profile and interest, but I would say that it could be used for readiness and definately affect. I could differentiate content and process to help them feel more comfortable in the subject. It can be modifed in some way to help the students in any subject they are learning. I think this can be a great tool for differentiated teaching in all subjects with the older students. They will think one way, but it can give me a start of where I need to start to assess better.
Thinking About My Reading
I don't think I would be able to use this assessment for anything other than reading, I could modify it so that I could have students tell me what they are interested in in other subjects though. I would have to change the whole document for each subject that I want to know about. Using the information would help me distinguish what interests eac student would have in the subject. Knowing the interests of the students help me determine what things I could do in the classroom to make a learning experience for each student. I might be able to say that I could differentiate content, environment, and the process by what answers the students put on the assessment. I would call this more a survey, but it would give me the information I would want. I think it would be really good for each subject I teach after I modify the questions accordingly.
Six-Trait Guide To Revision
I know this one is good for writing. I want to use this one because because I see very little writing in the schools I have been in and revision is almost non existant. I want to show students how to write, help them learn to enjoy writing, and learn that writing has certain rules that need to be followed in order to be a successful writer. I see too many students who don't care about any of it. I want to spark a fire under the young writers that we have waiting in Elementary schools. I would use it to build interest if there is no interest. This assessment would give me a great clue about what students know, but I would use it as a teaching tool for learning the six traits in everything, not soley revision. By opening the door, I would be able to differentiate content, environment, process, and product. I would change whatever I needed to do to ceate some writers in the classroom with whatever it takes to do it. Most will not be ready for it so I will need to scaffold instruction on many different levels to prepare all the students on the level they are at an help them to grow. All aspects of differentiation can be taught with this assessment in some way or another.

Great job! I can tell by the assessment strategies you are drawn to that you know what should be happening in an effective classroom, and you recognize that you will need ways to see how the students feel about things, and what changes you need to make, etc. Good for you! 4 points
